Great food, get a lot for you money. The service here is great and very friendly. The ambiance is cozy and great place to grab a bite to eat.
Don't be fooled by the exterior, this is an awesome breakfast spot! Excellent service. Hubs had the Hobo skillet with french toast, I had combo eggs, pancakes & bacon. Couldn't finish so much but so good! We'll be back,
Excellent staff great food & huge portions-you can eat here three times a week and never get tired of the food because it's fresh and they have a very big menu.
I had a great experience at the pancake house. I have been there twice and the food was great, the service was friendly, and the place was very clean. The portion size was huge. I eat out alot for work and it's rare for me to ask for a box. I left with a loaded box and a full belly. If you are in the area definitely stop in the food is great.
This was my first time eating here and I don't know what it is about small diners like this but they always make the best food, they did not disappoint, it was pretty busy but the wait wasn't too long, servers were nice, and food was amazing, definitely recommend.
Don't be a snob and discount this restaurant based on outside appearances. Flash and glam doesn't make a poor meal taste better. It's Defiance, people, and none of us can judge appearance on anything considering we live in ahem, Defiance. What this restaurant lacks in curb appeal it MORE than makes up for in the food! That's why you're going out to eat, right? For good food, good price, friendly staff, and large portions? My family and I have never been disappointed from Defiance Pancake House. It's the best breakfast place by far in Defiance. We've ordered dinner as well and been just as pleased. Want chain food with a nice corporate manicured storefront microwaved by a 16 year old, servers who wear flair, (ok I'm old) and expensive overhead? Go there then! Want unpretentious atmosphere, delicious, generous, mouthwatering portions with more than anyone should hopefully be able to eat at one sitting, and fabulous service (because they're a small, caring business) then go here!
Someone needs to give this place a fresh coat of paint and a makeover. Why? Because the appearance doesn't reflect how amazing the food is - the walls look like pickle loaf. The Pancake House has a wide variety of meals to choose from, not to mention decent prices. You can tell the food is made from quality ingredients and the cooks know what they're doing. I prefer the omelettes. Overall, tasty meals with plates the size of your head! Go for the food - not the looks.
